Haregewoin

March and April are always the cruelest months. I don't sit well with the beginning of spring for some reason. People I know, care about, and love die during these months. Not sure what it means, probably nothing but a mere observation and connection of coincidences and mishaps. But then again, who knows. Probably the reason for my blog silence. I'm white knuckling it through. Let's just make it to May, and dance on into summer ASAAAP.

Recently, a wonderful woman named Haregewoin Teferra died. She was the subject of There is No Me Without You by Melissa Faye Greene. The book has served as a sort of launching pad for families looking to adopt from ET. Haregewoin gave hundreds of children a safe landing pad in Ethiopia. Her story brought me to ET before I got there and gave me a better understanding about how Ethiopians love their children and how I can love their children.

Attached is a link that provides information about how to help out the kids who remain in her care.

The upside - Misho was born in March. Maybe March and April are getting a bit better afterall.
